Senior Accountant

Summary
The Senior Accountant supports the Controller and shares in the responsibility for the oversight of Corporate Travel’s accounting function. The position collaborates across all departments to provide accurate and timely reporting of financial performance while maintaining the routine accounting processes of the business. The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities
- · Oversee the regular data entry and reconciliation of various accounting-related records and documents.
- · Support the Controller in the determination and entry of various monthly adjusting journal entries.
- · Maintain and supply financial records that support the Controller’s development of financial statements, financial forecasts, and cost accounting analysis.
- · Assist management with important financial decisions
- · Assist in the management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions of the organization
- · Monitor financial reports and vendor invoices to help identify opportunities to reduce costs
- · Process the regular routine accounting function of the organization including check processing, bank deposits, bank reconciliations, etc.
- · File and manage physical and electronic financial records of the organization including invoices, check copies, receipts, and other relevant documents
- · Provide owners with access to financial data and physical documentation when called upon
- · Willingness to support endeavors outside of business hours when necessary
Requisite Skills and Qualifications
- · Minimum three years of accounting experience
- · Disciplined accuracy and attention to detail
- · Flawless punctuality and timeliness
- · Thorough knowledge of financial accounting, chart of accounts, cost accounting, and core financial statement preparation
- · Passion for event management and cultural travel
- · Familiarity with the MS Office Suite, including MS Excel and MS Word
- · Proficiency with interpersonal (written and oral communication) skills
- · Collaborative demeanor and a strong sense of team engagement
- · Ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within the department, across the organization, and with external vendors
